Thomas Reeder

There's a reason why Thomas Reeder can juggle the complex plots and characters of writing a mystery novel and tie together film facts and stories to create outstanding biographies. Growing up outside Philadelphia, he was addicted to late-night B movies, Shock Theater and silent films. This love of all things cinematic drove his film-related college and grad school studies and immersion in mystery writers, from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Mickey Spillane to Lawrence Block.

A noted writer for movie and genealogical periodicals, Mr. Reeder has authored two biographies - Mr. Suicide: Henry "Pathe" Lehrman and the Birth of Silent Comedy and Stop Yellin': Ben Pivar and the Horror, Mystery and Action Adventure Films of His Universal B Unit - and Time is Money! The Century, Rainbow, and Stern Brother Comedies of Julius and Abe Stern, all available at Amazon. Poetic Justice was his first foray into fiction, inspired, in part, by his love for Long Beach Island, where he spends his summers.

It’s kind of like juggling, keeping all the pieces in the air and making sure you don’t drop them.
